Sunday School Update !

Hello all!

The days are getting longer and the energy level is rising...at least mine is! This Sunday, Feb 14th, the sunday school will be breaking into 2 different groups. The younger kids will be doing prep work to host the "All Church Birthday Coffee Hour". We will be doing it differently than in the past, we are going to stay upstairs in the league room.

The older kids will be going around to the nursing home and to Pleasant Hills to deliver Valentine's made last week by all of the children. I also have a list of shut-ins that might appreciate a card, if any of you parents want to provide yourself and your car to help me get the kids around town, that would be helpful, just let me know on Sunday that you are available. So, please have your teens wear a coat, we will be outside!

We are going to have a Movie Evening on Sunday February 21st at 4:00 pm the movie we will be showing is Billy Graham's "Climb High". I have been told that it is appropriate for age 12ish and up. It is of course your decision what your children can watch and of course everyone is welcome to come. The kids can bring friends, just try to email or call with a response becuase we are going to do make your own english muffin pizza' s (courtesy of The DuPont Family) and will want enough to go around! I have not seen the movie, but Pastor Bill said it's a good one!

Some of you may or may not have heard of Young Life. It is a christian organization for kids 9-12 grade. They do fun activities with kids and have the best summer camp around. Ask Meyer or Laura who have both been before...Parasailing,tubing, volleyball, obstacle course, wakeboarding, hot tub, canoes....the list goes on and on.I have the forms for anyone interested to sign up. The fee for first time goers is $350 and it includes everything including your ride over and back from Saranac Lake! the dates are Aug 8th -14th. The kids fom Addison Cty will go with Todd Goodyear and Nancy Orvis. If you have any questions about this camp or would like to go to a Young Life Banquet (fundraiser/ Informational Dinner) please let me know and I will send you an invitation.

The dinner is on March 29th and I would love to bring anyone interested in what Young Life is all about. Pastor Bill can also answer any questions that You might have. Along with Young Life there is also a camp for 7th and 8th graders. This is called Wyldlife camp and they get to do may of the same fun things on Lake Champion on the southern end of the Catskill mtns in New York. The camp dates are July 29th-Aug 2nd. The fee for their camp is $470.00. The adults that will go if we get any interested kids are myself and if any boys sign up, Todd Goodyear.

Young Life and Wyldlife are not exclusive to any church, in fact you don't have to go to a church to be able to participate, so if any of your kids are interested it's okay to get their friends to go also! If any parent of any of the younger children want any info on christian camps for their child's age please email me and I will get that information to you.

Have a great weekend and I hope to see you on Valentine's Day and celebrate the all church Birthday with you!

Blessings, Kathleen.
